Appreciation of People

An appreciation of People explores the relationship between the individual and their inner resources.

As we work, we exercise judgement. Unlike past experience or previously-acquired knowledge, judgement is the decision-making capability that comes into play when we do not, and cannot, know what to do.

Because we rely most on this capability in unfamiliar, volatile and ambiguous situations, the exercise of judgement is fraught with uncertainty. If our capability is out of sync with the challenges of our work, we become overwhelmed or underwhelmed. This imbalance will eventually affect not just our own wellbeing, but that of the organisation around us.

Bioss helps individuals to appreciate their own capability and career path, and works with organisations to identify, support and cultivate the capabilities of their people.
