Chris Sale is the Chief Operating Officer of EDAC, Bioss strategic partners since 1999. EDAC offers the online and PC-based LPA psychometrics, MCPA Career Path Appreciation, and ELDI 360-degree performance report to the global Bioss community.
Chris Sale has an engineering degree from McGill and extensive managerial experience in a variety of organisations. Initially with Caterpillar Tractor in the USA, he became Chief Engineer of the Citrus Company of Jamaica. He then returned to Caterpillar in Geneva, with a two-year appointment in Tehran and responsibility for developing Caterpillar sales in Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Returning to Geneva as Sales Manager, Engine Marketing, he developed dealer capability in the Middle East, East and South Africa and parts of Europe. He then moved to become Head of Power Systems at Caterpillar Dealer Zahid Tractor in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he increased the market share of Caterpillar engine products during a time when the market was contracting. He used newly available personal computers to develop computerised systems for inventory control, product pricing and management reporting.
Returning to the UK in 1988, he worked as a recruitment consultant for RH Horton before establishing his own psychometric assessment consultancy at Mandata Systems, with clients including BAA and British Aerospace. Before becoming a founding Director of EDAC, he was recruited as Managing Director of the Equipment Register, a start-up backed by Bain Hogg (Aon) to identify and help recover stolen construction equipment.
